In this project, I have created an immersive, playful, humorous and lighthearted children’s picture book for an audience aged 4-8. I've encouraged creativity and imagination beyond reading with a craft page at the end of my narrative so children and adults can get involved by bringing Pidge to life. My illustrations have been crafted with collage, using my painted textured paper. This work was inspired by carrier pigeons in the world wars, especially Winkie, who was the first to be awarded a Dickin Medal.
